The Print House

Bring an old printed sefer back into use, from scan to finished book. Upload the pages, and the Print House reads the Rashi type into modern square Hebrew. You correct it letter by letter beside the page, design the שער and the cover, and the Museum publishes the edition in your name, online and in print, with a print-ready interior and cover. You set the price above cost and receive the margin, less the Museum's share.

  1. Upload the pages as JPG, PNG, or a PDF.
  2. Read each page for 1 token. Tokens are bought from the shop; a new account starts with 3.
  3. Correct the text in a Hebrew editor built for old type, page image on one side, letters on the other.
  4. Design. Answer the design prompts: the שער, the typeface and trim size, the cover. The Print House sets the book and draws the cover as you choose.
  5. Publish. Choose your margin above cost, accept the license, and the Museum reviews and lists the edition.

Editions published by the Print House

The first edition is on its way. Yours can be next.

The Museum of the Scroll is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We locate, document, and repair Sifrei Torah, place them with communities that will read from them, and teach the history and craft of the scribal tradition. Admission is free, our programs are open to the public, and all contributions fund this work.
