Education

חִנּוּךְ

Education is at the heart of our mission. We help students of all ages encounter the Tanakh and the scribal tradition directly — through tours, workshops, and resources.

For schools & groups

Guided Tours

Age-appropriate tours for day schools, yeshivot, and youth groups, connecting curriculum to real scrolls.

Scribal Workshops

Hands-on sessions introducing Hebrew calligraphy and the work of the sofer.

Adult Learning

Lectures and study sessions on the Tanakh, the Masorah, and the history of the scroll.

Resources

Explore our Journal for accessible articles on the Sefer Torah, the work of the sofer, conservation, and the structure of the Tanakh. Educators are welcome to use these in the classroom.

Bring your students

Tell us your group’s age and interests, and we’ll tailor a visit.

The Museum of the Scroll is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We locate, document, and repair Sifrei Torah, place them with communities that will read from them, and teach the history and craft of the scribal tradition. Admission is free, our programs are open to the public, and all contributions fund this work.
